I just wanted to say a massive thank you for providing a first class tour to Antigua! The service I received was excellent, especially since our original tour company went into liquidation. You were so understanding of our situation and provided a superb tour at short notice. Since the moment you received my panicked email requesting help to reinstate our trip the communication and help was been excellent and second to none! Best paper work I have ever received for a tour. You were absolutely fabulous throughout and will continue to be my number 1 operator! Thank you from everyone at the Abbey School for a fantastic netball tour.

I would like to thank these guys for managing to organise the BEST netball tour me and girls have ever had. They were welcoming and well organised, the trip is one that me and the girls will never forget.

Local Parks & Gardens

Stratford Park

31 Stratford Rd, Stroud GL5 4AJ, UK – 01453 766771

Came to it by accident. While eating at the Brewer's Fare out of the window we spotted some mature beautiful trees across the road. We went over to investigate. We walked into the most beautiful and well kept stately home type park. There is a fishing lake, with lots of bird life. An extensive ride on model railway, with tunnels and bridges over the small river. There are woodland walks, rising up to the gardens. The Arboretum trees are spectacular. In the centre is the house that is a museum. Further up the gardens there are many leisure activities, including leisure centre, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, bowls, football courts, more parkland and children's playground. There is also a large car park. What a fantastic place. Glad we found it.

I had a fantastic afternoon here with my daughter who has special.needs. the pool was sectioned to keep kids safe and away from the rather steep slope into the deep middle part. Could have benefited from a canteen. There were only a few drinks and ice creams in the entrance area. Thoroughly enjoyed it and we were lucky to have blazing sunshine.

Museum in the Park

Stratford Park, Stroud GL5 4AF, UK – 01453 763394

A brilliant place to visit and it's free, what more could you want. Oh yes you can get s civilised cup of tea/coffee at a reasonable price sitting inside or out. Lots of displays and events going on all year plus a quiet peaceful sit down in the secret garden

Great old old housing the local history and town collection. Some fascinating exhibits bit like castle museum in Bristol but better. Do use it or you'll lose it we can't wait to go back to see more halls had to miss out. I was particularly interested in how the invention of machine knap shears for Stroud wool cloth gave rise to the earliest lawn mowers! Also in display..a real treat. Not to mention many Roman and Saxon age exhibits Recommended. Robert of Gloucester

Viner House - B&B

24 Middle St, Stroud GL5 1DZ, UK – 01453 753949

. Charmingly quirky Friendly, welcoming, charmingly quirky. The spiral stairs are not easy - I needed two arms to hold the walls as I went down as I felt a tad insecure - but luggage was carried by the owner, so not a problem. Bed comfortable, decoration and ornaments eclectic, en-suite shower rather tired but plenty of hot water. Breakfast just what I wanted. The whole place was very Stroud . . . like staying with your Aunty. Fine for me, and could well be fine for you too. .

Rodborough Fort

Stroud GL5 5BL, UK

Originally called Fort George and was built in 1761 for a garrison, on an ancient site. It was rebuilt and extended in 1870, and is a Grade II listed building. In 1986 it was a Caravan and Camping Centre. Stunning views all round. A must see for anyone who loves the country. Breathe taking. Bit of a climb up the steep(ish) hill but well worth the effort. :)

A bit of a climb up to the commons area surround a private home. There are many benches that are nice to sit on and enjoy the view and ample paths for walking around.
